Girls cross country: Runner of the Year

December 10, 2009

Elizabeth Tauber, John Carroll, junior
Tauber almost had a perfect season this fall.

She won her second straight Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference championship, helping John Carroll take second place overall.

She then won the private schools state meet one week later. All that followed first-place finishes at the Peter Geraghty and Bobcat invitational and second-place efforts at the Bull Run Invitational and a meet at William & Mary in Virginia.

Tauber was perfect in IAAM dual meets for the second straight season and beat Century's Maura Linde - a public school state champion and an All-Metro pick - twice in three tough races.
