Recruitment seminar, open house planned by police

December 10, 2009

Baltimore police will hold two public events Friday, a recruiting seminar for women interested in becoming police officers and a communitywide ride-along and open house. The women's symposium will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at police headquarters, 601 E. Fayette St., in which prospective applicants can get information about the police academy, speak to female officers and go through an expedited processing of their application. That evening, police plan to pair up every evening shift patrol officer with a member of the community and will open up district stations and police headquarters for an open house. For more information, call public affairs at 410-396-2012.
