Hannah Balleza

Severna Park, forward, senior

* Had 19 goals and 15 assists to lead the Falcons in scoring

* Used her knowledge of the game to lead her team to a 16-2 record and a 19th state championship

* Team captain's speed enabled her to beat defenders and get into the circle to create scoring opportunities

* Will play at Cornell

Liza Blue

Garrison Forest, defender, senior

* Missed five games (concussion) but still led team in scoring from defender position

* Produced 14 goals and 11 assists

* Second-year captain is on-field leader for both offense and defense

* Will attend Virginia to play field hockey and lacrosse

Emily Cain

Garrison Forest, goalkeeper, senior

* Made 55 saves, allowed 16 goals, recorded eight shutouts and finished with .750 save percentage

* Team leader was instrumental in Grizzlies winning four regular-season titles during her career

* Will play for Yale next year

Emily Colliflower

Westminster, goalkeeper, junior

* Had a .912 percent save percentage and 13 shutouts in an 18-1 season

* Allowed just five goals in the regular season and two in the postseason (in a 2-1 loss in the Class 4A state final)

* Helped navigate the Owls' strong defense

Caitlin Dempsey

Fallston, forward, senior

* One of the fastest players on the team; brought a lot of energy to the field

* Three-year varsity starter created scoring opportunities for herself and teammates

* Co-captain produced 17 goals and nine assists while leading the Cougars' run to Class 2A state championship

* Hopes to play next year at Bloomsburg or West Chester

Meghan Eshleman

Broadneck, midfielder, senior

* Is a repeat All-Metro selection

* Was named the team's Most Valuable Player

* Scored six goals and added 13 assists

Courtney Haldeman

Hereford, midfielder, senior

* Is a two-time All-Metro player

* Was the Bulls' on-field leader, anchoring run to the 3A state championship

* Had three defensive saves, a game-winning goal and seven assists

* Committed to Stanford for field hockey

Paige Hanson

Bryn Mawr, forward, senior

* Captained IAAM A Conference championship team

* Two-time All-Metro pick is known for outstanding stick work and keen eye for the goal

* Scored 16 goals with seven assists

* Member of National Festival under-19 Pool N champions

Michelle Hodiak

Westminster, defender, senior

* Versatile player scored four goals and anchored defense that allowed seven goals

* Ability to dribble, dip and drive enabled her to advance the ball halfway down field before passing off to the attack

* Plans to study marine biology; is looking for school that will have her major and, she hopes, a field hockey program

Alyssa Parker

Glenelg, forward, sophomore

* Team captain led Gladiators to 2A state semifinals

* Totaled 26 goals and 24 assists

* Is a member of the AAU Junior Olympic team and National Futures Elite team

Jill Remenapp

Century, midfielder, junior

* A three-year varsity starter

* Scored 14 goals and had 20 assists to lead Carroll County in scoring

* Vision allowed her to move the ball at will to create scoring opportunities

* A field general, she called the plays
