CHILDREN
Tuesday Discover the wild world of wolves in an interactive program that will teach children how to howl like a wolf and why wolves howl, 2 p.m., at the Patuxent Research Refuge, Laurel. Next Sunday Learn to identify seed heads and discover the winter role of trees, weeds and seeds on a guided walk, 9 a.m., at the Patuxent Research Refuge North Tract, Laurel. All ages. Field guide, water and magnifying lens are recommended. The North Tract is on Route 198, between the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and Route 32.

Saturday Join the Westminster Astronomy Club for an evening of stargazing at Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area, 8 p.m.-10 p.m. Explore myths, legends and battles of the winter skies.
