Graham's 19 Points Help Cardinals Boys Win Big

Jonathan Graham scored a game-high 19 points as the No. 3 Calvert Hall boys basketball team beat visiting Dulaney, 71-34, on Friday.

Damion Lee and Donya Jackson added 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Cardinals (2-0).

Calvert Hall took a 15-6 lead after the first quarter and never trailed. The Lions (0-1) were behind by 21 points at the half.

Graham, a 6-foot-8 senior, averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds last season.

No. 9 Arundel 70, Severna Park 62:: Senior R.J. Harris scored 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Wildcats (1-0) past the visiting Falcons (0-1). Point guard Terrell Tullis added 14 points and six assists in the win.

Cardinal Gibbons 65, Avalon 44: : Dylon Cormier had 36 points and 13 rebounds to power the host Crusaders (3-0) past Avalon. The Loyola University-bound senior added four steals and three assists.

The score was tied at 25 at the half before Gibbons outscored Avalon 25-13 in the third quarter to take the lead.

Glenelg Country School 62, St. Mary's 45: : Warren Powers and Justin Johnson each scored 12 points to power the host Dragons (4-0) past the Saints (0-2).

Girls basketball

No. 5 Arundel 65, Severna Park 38:: Sheronne Vails, Ariel Ross and Talen Watson paced the Wildcats (1-0) in their win over the visiting Falcons (0-1). Vails, a senior center, led the way with 19 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot. Guards Ross and Watson contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.

No. 11 Catonsville 66, Lansdowne 38:: The Comets (1-0) defeated the Vikings (0-1). Maya Torrain scored seven points for Catonsville.
