Anne Arundel County police reported that a person who had safety concerns brought a suspected incendiary device to the Southern District station in Edgewater on Saturday afternoon. Capt. Frederick Plitt, special operations commander, said the device belonged to a World War II veteran. It was transported into the station by a family member who expressed concerns about safety. The device was rendered harmless by fire and police officials. No charges were filed, and no names were released.
