You don't have to go all the way back to 1938 to recall a white Thanksgiving in Baltimore. Although the '38 storm (10 inches) was the deepest Turkey Day snowfall on record, lots of Baltimoreans can recall the 3- to 5-inch overnight snow that delighted many here on Thanksgiving 1989. It began late enough on Wednesday to ease the impact on travelers, and it was cleaned up in time for the drive home. Perfect.
