Goode, Griffin receive weekly basketball honors

Mount St. Mary's senior Jeremy Goode was named Northeast Conference co-Player of the Week after he averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 steals, 3.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in two wins last week. ... St. Mary's senior guard Camontae Griffin (Dunbar) was named Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week after averaging 26.0 points in three games to lead the Seahawks to their second straight championship in the Pride of Maryland Tournament. Griffin scored a career- and tournament-high 51 points in Sunday's title-game victory over Hood. ... Tonight's game between host Stevenson and Washington originally scheduled for 8 p.m. has been moved to 7 p.m.

Volleyball: Jillian Unitas (St. Paul's School for Girls) collected a season-high 20 digs to lead Flagler to a 3-1 win (27-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-14) over host Wingate for the NCAA Division II Southeast Region title Sunday night. Flagler (35-8) advances to the Elite Eight and will face East Region champion Dowling (29-6).

Field hockey: Maryland junior Katie O'Donnell and senior Emma Thomas were named NFHCA first-team All-Americans. Seniors Nicole Muracco and Alicia Grater were selected to the second team, and senior Alexis Pappas earned a spot on the third team.
