The top-seeded Maryland field hockey team advanced to its second consecutive NCAA national championship game Friday in Winston-Salem, N.C., with its 7-5 win over fourth-seeded Princeton. Maryland (23-0), which is seeking its seventh national title, will play No. 2 North Carolina at noon Sunday on the campus of Wake Forest; the game will be shown on CBS College Sports Network. The Tar Heels edged No. 3 Virginia, 3-2. Maryland's semifinal victory was one of the highest-scoring in NCAA tournament history. Junior Katie O'Donnell had a hat trick and three assists; her nine-point performance is the most by a player in an NCAA semifinal or final. Princeton tied the score at four with a little less than 20 minutes remaining, but Maryland's Megan Frazer, Ameliet Rischen and O'Donnell scored consecutive goals for a 7-4 lead.
