Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found Tuesday behind an East Baltimore convenience store. They will examine evidence from the scene and the body to determine if any of it matches evidence in the rapes or sexual assaults of nine women near bus stops since Oct. 20, said city police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.
About 4:30 p.m., a man walking in the rear of a convenience store in the 900 block of E. Eager St. in the Johnston Square community saw the body lying in a grassy area and called police from the store, Guglielmi said. He said the woman, believed to be in her early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene and that her head showed signs of injury.
