Teenager sought in shooting of another in Halethorpe

November 17, 2009

Police in Baltimore County are looking for a 17-year-old male in the shooting last month of another youth of the same age.

Damon Dameo Gray, who was released recently from jail for an unrelated crime, is wanted on a charge of attempted murder in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 21, shortly before 9 p.m., on Bero Road in Halethorpe.

Police responding to a report of shots fired found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body. He was taken by ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center with a non-life-threatening injury and has since been released.

Detectives said the victim was walking behind some houses on Bero Road when another teenager approached him and began shooting.

Gray has no fixed address, police said, but he is believed to frequent the Lakebrook Circle area of Baltimore County and the Cherry Hill area of Baltimore City. - Nick Madigan
