On October 27, 2009, TE-VERIA V. (BUTLER) LEE, age 57, passed away suddenly at Howard County General Hospital. Te-Veria was born on February 19, 1952 to Larrie and Eartha Butler in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Western High School and Morgan State University with a BA and Masters in Education. She was an educator in the Baltimore City Public School System and Baltimore County Public School serving as Teacher, Principal and Staff Administrator for over 30 years. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and serving as an Associate Minister on the ministerial staff of New Psalmist Baptist Church. Te-Veria was a member of New Psalmist Baptist Church for more than 25 years and served on various ministries including working with children and youth, discipleship training and Principal of the New Psalmist Christian School. She loved people, had a warm and gracious spirit and will be truly missed by her parents, Larrie and Eartha Butler; her beloved son, Marc Christopher Lee and his wife Angela Lee; her granddaughter Moriah Lee; brothers, Rev. Maurice L. Butler (Wanda Butler), Larrie Butler Jr. (Anita Butler); sister, Beatrice Butler-Holiday; nephews, Darien Butler, Derrick Butler (Christiana Butler); nieces, Bridgette Butler, Audra Butler, Lakesha Holiday; and grand-nephews, DeJoun Butler and Dexter Butler; several uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Celebration Service: Tuesday, November 3, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at New Psalmist Baptist Church, 4501 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21229. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to The Te-Veria Lee College Scholarship Fund, c/o New Psalmist Baptist Church.
