A photo caption on Page 10 of the Oct. 8 Sports section incorrectly identified Sherron Stevens as president of the Maryland Association of Diabetes Educators. Mary Gardner, who was also in the photo, holds that title. The caption also incorrectly said that "Diabetes Restaurant Month" was raising money for research. It is an education campaign to help people with type 2 diabetes make smart menu choices while dining out.

Because of conflicting information, The Sun reported that the auction of the Maryland Jockey Club assets is expected to take place in mid-January. In fact, the auction is scheduled for Jan. 8 as reported earlier on the Sun's Web site.
