Glos Lifts Perry Hall To Boys Soccer Upset

Joe Glos had two goals and an assist as visiting No. 8 Perry Hall upset No. 4 Calvert Hall, 5-2, in boys soccer Monday.

The Gators (6-3) held a 3-1 lead at the half. Glos scored the opening goal.

Pete Caringi had a goal and an assist for the Cardinals (6-3), whose winning streak ended at four.

Nial Krach had 12 saves for Calvert Hall, two more than Perry Hall's Zach Miller.

Field hockey

No. 2 Garrison Forest 3, Roland Park 1: : Cody Magness scored twice to power the host Grizzlies (10-1-2) past the Reds.

Garrison led 3-0 before Roland Park's Liza Barley scored with 1:30 left to avoid the shutout.

No. 6 Bryn Mawr 2, 11 Archbishop Spalding 0: : Paige Hanson had a goal and assist to lead the host Mawrtians (11-2-1) past the Cavaliers (6-6).

No. 7 Notre Dame Prep 1, Severn 0: : Claire Yokum scored the game-winner on an assist from Sydney Peterson to lift the visiting Blazers (11-2-1) over the Admirals (6-6).

No. 15 St. Mary's 4, St. Paul's 1: : Kaela Jarvis had two goals and Kaeli Smith had two assists as the host Saints (8-3) beat the Gators.

Football

John Carroll 29, Cardinal Gibbons 28, OT: : Quarterback Stephen St. Clair rushed for a 5-yard touchdown and a two-point conversion in overtime to lift the visiting Patriots (3-2) over the Crusaders (3-3).

Gibbons trailed 21-14 before scoring late in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

The Crusaders scored first in overtime on a 6-yard run by Terrell Stinson, and Ben Grace added the extra point for a 28-21 lead.
