Nancy H. Lynch, Nursing Assistant

Nancy H. Lynch, a retired nursing assistant and homemaker, died Monday of ovarian cancer at her Eldersburg home. She was 74.

Nancy Lee Hughes, the daughter of an estate farmer and homemaker, was born in Washington and moved in 1940 to Sunny Hill Farm near Glyndon.

She was a 1953 graduate of Towson Catholic High School and earned an associate's degree from what was then Catonsville Community College in the early 1970s.

Mrs. Lynch had worked as a nursing assistant for a dentist and later two physicians before retiring in the 1980s.

Mrs. Lynch was a member and officer of the Reisterstown Jaycee-etts and the Chesapeake Region of the Antique Auto Club.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, where a Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, C. Robert Lynch Jr., a retired International Harvester salesman; two sons, Matthew J. Lynch of Manassas, Va., and P. Dennis Lynch of Orange, Calif.; three brothers, David E. Hughes of Ocean Pines, Dan Hughes of Reisterstown and Bob Hughes of Stanwood, Mich.; and four grandchildren.
