Pasadena man charged In child porn distribution
A Pasadena man was charged Thursday with possessing and distributing child pornography, according to Maryland State Police. Kevin Scott Ferguson, 30, of the 8000 block of Corkberry Lane surrendered to a state police computer crimes unit investigator. Police said a trooper assigned to the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force traced a computer on a peer-to-peer network offering pornographic videos of children to Ferguson, and investigators executed a search warrant, confiscating computers, hard drives and other storage media from Ferguson's home. Forensic analysis of the equipment revealed dozens of videos and images of children engaged in sexual activity, according to police. Ferguson was charged with six counts of distributing child pornography, six counts of possessing child pornography and one count of marijuana possession. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 73 years in prison and fined $166,000 police said. Ferguson was released without bail pending a trial date, according to court records.

Police chase ends in arrest of three on robbery charges
A police vehicle pursuit late Tuesday ended with the arrests of three men wanted in an armed robbery after at least one suspect fired a shot at officers, according to police. No officers were injured. About 10:15 p.m., a man, 21, living in the first block of Quiet Stream Court in Cockeysville was home when three men, one armed with a shotgun, robbed him of his watch, a cell phone and $250. After the robbery, the three men sped away in a car with the victim pursuing them in his vehicle. The victim called 911 on a second cell phone, giving police their location. As police took up the pursuit, at least one shot was fired at them, police said. At Warren and Samona roads, police pulled the car over and arrested its occupants. Recovered was the shotgun and the victim's property. Charged with attempted murder and armed robbery was Brandon Catrarola, 27, of the 1900 block of Particia Court in Westminster. Charged with assault and robbery were Jordan Smith, 26, of the 700 block of Yorkminster Lane, also in Westminster, and David Funk, 21, of the first block of Quiet Stream Court. All were being held without bail at the county detention center, police said.
