Man gets 185-year sentence for raping another child

A Dundalk man who served time in prison several years ago for sexually abusing a child was sentenced Tuesday to 185 years in prison for raping another young girl. The 46-year-old defendant, William A. Geyer III, was found guilty of 10 counts after a three-day trial last month in Baltimore County Circuit Court. Judge Susan Souder sentenced Geyer to the maximum sentence on each count and ordered that the terms be served consecutively. Assistant State's Attorney Keith Pion said Geyer abused his latest victim over a period of more than two years, starting when she was 10. Geyer previously had been given a 10-year sentence, with all but 18 months suspended, after being convicted of a third-degree sex offense against another child, who was about 11 at the time.
