The senior forward scored two game-winning goals and assisted on one as the No. 1 Eagles won three games last week, including two over top 5 opponents.
Kirkwood's goal in double overtime edged No. 2 Mount St. Joseph, 1-0. At the McDonogh Challenge, he scored the decider in a 2-1 win over Centennial and assisted Lucas Winters' game-winner in a 2-0 win over then-No. 4 Perry Hall.
Kirkwood, a four-year starter who also plays basketball and golf, has five goals and two assists in six games this season.

The senior left wing led the No. 6 Seahawks (3-0) to three wins last week with four goals and an assist.
Maloy, a three-year starter and captain, scored a goal in each of the games, getting one each in wins over Dulaney (5-0) and Quince Orchard (7-0) before enjoying a two-goal, one-assist performance in a 3-0 win over then-No. 5 Bryn Mawr. She plans to play field hockey in college and is considering St. Mary's College, Washington College and Catholic University among other schools.
