Terps' home game Sept. 26 vs. Rutgers set for 3:30 p.m.

Kickoff for the University of Maryland's home football game against Rutgers on Sept. 26 has been set for 3:30 p.m. The game was not selected for an over-the-air telecast, but it will be streamed live over the Internet on ESPN360.

Women's basketball: : Katie Nelson (McDonogh) and Marti Whitmore were named assistant coaches by Johns Hopkins. Nelson, the daughter of Blue Jays men's coach Bill Nelson, was an assistant at Navy (2007-08) and New Hampshire (2008-09) the past two seasons. Whitmore has coached since 1988, most recently at Loyola College.

Men's soccer: : Towson junior midfielder Marco Mangione (Calvert Hall) was named co-recipient of the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week.

Game vs. Chiefs to be re-aired in abridged, enhanced format

The Ravens' 38-24 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday will be re-aired in a 90-minute format on NFL Network's NFL Replay tonight at 8. The abridged version adds sideline and on-field sound, NFL Films camera angles and post-game news conference sound bites.

Mount St. Joseph, Gilman play to 3-3 tie in soccer

Geaton Caltabiano scored the tying goal from 20 yards out with five minutes left to play for the No. 2 Mount St. Joseph soccer team as the visiting Gaels and No. 12 Gilman played to a 3-3 draw. Mount St. Joseph led 2-0 after 15 minutes before the Greyhounds' Joe Cahalan answered. "St. Joe really took the game to us in the first half," Gilman coach Jon Feal said. "We built off the last five minutes of the first half and carried that momentum into the second." Gilman's Cotter Brown and Diego McQuestion scored the tying and go-ahead goals as the Greyhounds took a 3-2 lead with 18 minutes left. ... Lucas Winters scored two goals and Mamadou Kansaye had three assists to power No. 1 McDonogh (7-0) to a 5-0 win over visiting Loch Raven (1-2-1). Matt Sanchez had two saves for his sixth shutout in seven games.

Field hockey: : No. 1 Garrison Forest (6-0) emerged with a 3-2 victory over No. 8 St. Mary's, which led 2-0 at the half. The Grizzlies scored three goals over a six-minute span in the second half. Martha Plack had two, including the go-ahead goal with 11:08 left to play. ... Sarah Worthington had two goals to power host and No. 14 McDonogh (2-0) past Friends, 3-0.
