Runners and walkers needed for 5K
The "Moving Around the World" 5K Run and Walk, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Annapolis and the Rotaract Club of Annapolis, needs runners and walkers.
Event takes place Oct. 25 and begins at Severn High School. Race packet pickup and registration is from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Race begins at 8:30 a.m.
Course is mostly flat, leaving from the school, then south on the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail and back to the school. Wheels, headsets, pets and baby joggers are not allowed.
Advance registration is $25, $30 day of the race. No refunds.

Barbershop chorus auditions
The Sons of the Severn, a barbershop chorus, will hold auditions for all voice parts. Auditions take place at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in September at Annapolis High School, 2700 Riva Road. For more information, call Dave at 410-674-7165 or go to sonsofthesevern.org.
County fair vendors
The Anne Arundel County Fair is accepting merchandise and service vendor applications for this year's fair, scheduled for Sept. 16-20 at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville. Fees start at $250 for outdoor and $395 for indoor space. No food vendors accepted.

Musical director needed
Children's Theatre of Annapolis is seeking a director for its spring production of "Willy Wonka Jr.," which is scheduled to be performed in March. The age group of the performers is 8 to 14 years old. Auditions for the play will be held Dec. 12-13. Senior Olympics
The Summer Maryland Senior Olympics will be held through Nov. 1 at various locations in the area.
Included in the sports events are swimming, track and field, archery, basketball, billiards, bowling, cycling, golf, horseshoes, racquetball, softball, table tennis and volleyball. Events are scheduled in Boyds, Cambridge, Columbia, Eldersburg, Ellicott City, Gaithersburg, Landover, Laytonsville, Olney, Parkton, Rockville and Silver Spring.
