Ex-Terp Wilk Strosberg a national team assistant
Jessica Wilk Strosberg, who was inducted into the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005 and will be inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame this year, was named one of three assistant coaches for the U.S. Women's National Elite Team, joining Liz Robertshaw and Amy Bokker. Wilk Strosberg was an All-America goalie in 1990 and was named to the all-world team after the 2005 World Cup.

Toliver's 25 points off bench help Sky defeat Liberty, 96-77
Candace Dupree had 26 points and six rebounds and rookie Kristi Toliver (Maryland) had 25 points and three rebounds off the bench to lead the host Chicago Sky (14-15) to a 96-77 win against New York Liberty (11-17) on Friday night. Toliver had 13 points in the third quarter.
Navy football:: Sophomore Mike Stukel, who has been impressive as a slotback and kick returner during preseason camp, moved to quarterback to replace sophomore backup Kriss Proctor, who is expected to be sidelined for a month after leg surgery. Neither Stukel, who played quarterback for much of the spring before shifting to slotback, nor Proctor has any varsity playing experience.
Maryland field hockey: : The No. 1-ranked Terps won their season opener against Ohio, 3-0, at Northwestern University, where they are competing in the Wildcat Classic this weekend.
