Police reports in Baltimore city and county:

Southern Baltimore

Shooting: A man was shot in the upper chest in the 3600 block of Ninth St. in Brooklyn about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and was taken by a city Fire Department ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. His condition was not available. District detectives are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 410-396-2499.

Eastern Baltimore

Assault: One man was arrested and police were seeking two others in the cutting about 9 p.m. Tuesday of a man inside the victim's home in the 700 block of N. Lakewood Ave. Arrested and charged with aggravated assault was Emmanuel Holmes, 22, whose address was not available.

Assault: A woman, 27, and her former boyfriend were arguing in her home in the 1100 block of N. Kenwood Ave. on Tuesday when she says he grabbed her around the neck and choked her. Arrested and charged with aggravated assault was Craig Williams, 27, of the 800 block of N. Glover St.

Baltimore Co. -- Parkville

Theft: Police were seeking two teenage boys who entered the backyard of a house in the 1600 block of Lyle Court on Wednesday and stole a bike valued at $100.

Baltimore Co. -- Towson

Burglary: Someone broke into the computer lab at Towson Catholic High School in the 100 block of Ware Ave. on Wednesday and stole a computer of unknown value. The break-in was discovered by a school employee about 1:30 p.m., and entry was through a second-story window.

Burglary: At least $15 in coins was stolen Tuesday from a piggy bank in a house in the 500 block of Goucher Blvd. by someone who entered the dwelling through a rear window.
