Summer Garden Theatre holds musical workshop

The Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre will hold a workshop for teens in which they can explore auditioning techniques, monologues, cold readings, improvisation, vocal skills and various styles of dance. The workshop culminates in two performances.

The session runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Students must have completed seventh grade. The final rehearsal is 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 10. Performances will be at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and 12 at 143 Compromise St. in Annapolis. To register and for more information, call 410-266-6872.

Children's courses

The Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts will offer courses ranging from arts and crafts to sculpture and poetry for children 16 and younger at 801 Chase St., Annapolis. The course catalog for summer classes is available online at marylandhall.org.
