Youth sports fall sign-up

Historic house tours

The Ann Arrundell County Historical Society has opened the historic Benson-Hammond House and North Browse and Buy Shoppe at Aviation Boulevard and Andover Road in Linthicum for the season.

Tours are offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays. Group tours are given by appointment.

The house and outbuildings interpret the agricultural heritage of northern Anne Arundel County.

The Kuethe Library for Historical and Genealogical Research at 5 Crain Highway S.E., operated jointly with the Anne Arundel Genealogical Society, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday year-round.

Day camp

The Tawes Garden in Annapolis offers a Natural Resources Club Day Camp for children ages 6 to 9 and 10 to 12 who enjoy the outdoors and are interested in nature.

Camps will be held 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and include nature crafts and activities and field trips to parks and nature centers.

Camps for ages 6 to 9 are July 27-31. Cost is $140.

Camps are limited to 12 children.
