Prostate cancer support groups : Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis is offering a support group for men affected by prostate cancer. "Man-to-Man," founded in partnership with the American Cancer Society, meets 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month Aug. 3, Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7 in the Rebecca M. Clatanoff Pavilion.
The group offers members a chance to hear from physicians about the disease and its treatment and learn about new research and treatment options. Men with recently diagnosed prostate cancer, cancer survivors interested in helping others, and patients with prostate disease are welcome. Baltimore Washington Medical Center and the American Cancer Society will also offer "Man-to-Man." The program is offered 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the Tate Center Conference Room. Meetings are Aug. 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14.
