News item: Kevin Millar dissed the new Yankee Stadium during a radio interview Tuesday, because the fans didn't boo him loud enough. "I like to get booed," he said.
My take: No wonder he wanted to re-sign with the Orioles last winter.
News item: The Chicago White Sox were unable to locate pitcher Bartolo Colon Wednesday, but the portly pitcher turned up and apparently will start his injury rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte.
My take: I would have been concerned, too. Bartolo's not an easy guy to misplace.
News item: The Stanley Cup, the Lombardi Trophy and the World Series trophy - all held presently by teams from either Pittsburgh or Philadelphia - were put on display Tuesday in the rotunda of the Pennsylvania capitol building in Harrisburg.
My take: Don't you hate it when people live in the past like that?
News item: Thanks to a lawsuit brought by the New York Civil Liberties Union, fans will now be allowed to go to the bathroom during the playing of "God Bless America" in the seventh inning at Yankee Stadium.
My take: We're talking about Yankees fans here, so I hope they realize they're supposed to find a restroom first.
