"What I was told was that the symptoms were still the same, the swelling had gone down, the inflammation had gone down," Trembley said. "But from a precautionary standpoint, the next thing to do was to do this test to see what's going on."

Trembley said Uehara will stay in Baltimore and participate in physical therapy while the club is on its West Coast trip.

Shortstop Cesar Izturis (appendicitis) will travel to the West Coast and work out with the team. ... Monday's game without an extra-base hit was the 773rd time in Orioles history they have done that. They are 169-602-2 in those games. ... Orioles bullpen catcher Ruben Felix will host baseball and softball camps for ages 7 to 13 during the weeks of July 27 and Aug. 10.
