Nighttime Getaways Offer A Different Kind Of Visit To Local Attractions

Port Discovery: : Sleepovers are available for Scout groups (ages 5-12) as well as private and community groups. They are held from April through June, beginning on Friday and Saturday nights, running from 6 p.m. until 9 a.m. the next morning. There's also a special Family Camp In at 6 p.m. June 27. Constellation: : Program usually runs year-round but is available on Friday and Saturday only from June 23-July 31. Sleepovers last from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning. There's a 20-person minimum and 60-person maximum. Children must be in first grade or older. $500 per participant; a $200 deposit is required to confirm the date. Pier 1, 301 E. National Aquarium in Baltimore: : Program runs on various dates, mostly weekends, from April through Sept. 25. A sleepover runs from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning. $94.95 for adults, seniors and children; discounts available for groups of 15 or more. Maryland Science Center: : Program runs from January through May and is for children at least 9 years old, with a 100-person maximum. Overnights begin at 5:15 p.m. and run through 9 a.m. the next morning. $38. 601 Light St.; 410-685-2370 or mdsci.org.
