City Sand 2009: From noon to 4 p.m., the Baltimore Architecture Foundation is having its annual competition at the Harborplace Amphitheater in the Inner Harbor between Light and Pratt streets. Local architectural firms and engineering companies and everyday people will compete to win the best sand sculpture of the event. A panel of judges and the audience will choose the winner. LatinoFest: One of the best reasons to hit up city ethnic festivals is the food. And this weekend's LatinoFest comes through, with authentic offerings such as enchiladas, empanadas and roasted pork mangu. 10-Minute Plays: The Baltimore Playwrights Festival and WHWN will present several short plays at the Creative Alliance at the Patterson, 3134 Eastern Ave. There will be a musical performance by Adam Trice from the band Red Sammy. 'Cyrano de Bergerac': The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company presents Edmond Rostand's play at the Patapsco Female Institute Historic Park at 8 p.m. Tickets for this Saturday's show are $30 for adults, $22 for students and free for children.
