A Baltimore County motorcyclist was killed early Sunday after he crashed into the rear of a State Highway Administration truck while attempting to enter the Baltimore Beltway's outer loop from Belair Road in Fullerton, according to state police. Timothy R. Williamson, 47, of the 4100 block of Taylor Ave. in Overlea, was operating a 2000 Honda motorcycle north on Belair Road about 8:30 a.m. when he drove onto the ramp to enter the outer loop, police said. On the ramp, Taylor attempted to go around a stationary 2003 Ford F-150 SHA pickup truck, whose driver had done some maintenance at a construction site and was in the truck, when Williamson struck the rear of the pickup. Police said Williamson, who was wearing a helmet, was propelled from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Baltimore County police were seeking a gunman Sunday night who appeared to have been shot by a security officer during an armed robbery at an Arbutus food store. The officer was not injured, police said. Shortly before 7 p.m., police responded to Mars Super Market at the Maiden Choice Shopping Center in the 1000 block of Maiden Choice Lane, where a store security officer exchanged gunfire with an armed robber, who may have been shot by the officer before driving off in a car. A short time later, an Arbutus resident called police and reported seeing a man who appeared to be wounded abandon a car on a street in the Broadfield neighborhood. Police said ground units, at least one K-9 officer and the crew of a county police helicopter joined in an extensive search for the robber. Area hospitals also were alerted in case the man seeks medical treatment. It was not known if the gunman made off with any money, police said.
