From The Blogs: Violence In Baltimore

June 04, 2009

Do we need martial law? I'd rather have soldiers with guns than thugs with guns on the streets if my civil rights are going to be taken away, like they are now.

We have no rights in this city, that's what it has come to. You can't say anything to anybody, you can't walk in the street, you can't look at anybody, you can't have anything nice or it will get stolen, you have to lock up your daughters, can't send your kids to school, can't go out to on a date without getting beaten, and the list goes on.

What's left for us to do? Why is City Hall acting like nothing is going on? Why are they saying crime is down and they just need to fight perception? I didn't perceive I got robbed last year, it happened! The dead body on my street wasn't my imagination, either, nor was the cop who was murdered two blocks away.

Give us safety, or this city will lose what's left of decent tax paying citizens, either to murder or to relocation. Give us safety or take this city and shove it, mayor and governor!

Try new leadership

There is a very simple solution to Baltimore's crime problems. Fire Dixon and hire Giuliani.
