The ceremony was performed by Rev. Ronald G. Abrams. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Archer Parsley of Winston Salem. Her maternal grandparents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Carswell. Her paternal grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Grant Parsley. The bride graduated from Foxcroft School in Middleburg, VA, and Davidson College in North Carolina. She is the Government Affairs Assistant at the Investment Company Institute in Washington, DC. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Stanley Gardner, III of Annapolis, Maryland, and the late Glenn David Johnson. His maternal grandparents are Richard Edwin Hook, III and the late Elizabeth Whitaker Hook. His paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Clifford Johnson. The groom is a graduate of the Severn School in Severn Park, Md., and Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. He attends the Catholic University Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC. He is employed by the International Facility Management Association as the Director of Government Affairs. The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Virginia Wilson Russell. The bridesmaids were Emily Sutton Parsley, Stefanie Shea Cox, Mimi Henderson Cushman, Jennifer Maher Johnson, Melissa Sellars, Katherine Elizabeth Smith and Kathryn Anne Rotblat. The best man was Dr. David William McDermott, Jr., The groomsmen were Samuel Wayne Albaugh, Geoffrey Oliver Dillard, Robert Joseph Martin, Christopher Todd McManus, Robert Carswell Parsley, William Archer Parsley II, and Sean Eugene Songer. The readers were Anne Wright Young and Dr. Hugh Osgood House. After a wedding trip to Europe, the couple will live with their two dogs, Lloyd and Kelsey, in Arlington, Virginia.
