A modest hit when it came out in the '90s, The Big Lebowski is now a cult classic. So the Creative Alliance is paying homage, rolling out bathrobes and bowling to celebrate all things Dude. Organizers even promise "a rug that really ties the event together." Starts 7 p.m. Saturday.

Baltimore Symphony :
Hilary Hahn (above) and Marin Alsop, two of the biggest women in classical music, team up for a new concerto that has been called an "athletic event." The program gets some help from two other classical titans - Beethoven and Dvorak. Concerts run next weekend at the Meyerhoff.

'He's Just Not That Into You':
Finally, a Baltimore movie/TV show where no one gets shot. This lightweight romantic comedy is chock-full of A-list stars (including Scarlett Johansson), looking for love in a very trendy-looking Charm City. In stores Tuesday.

'The Sims 3':
Playing God just got a little easier. The society simulator where players can control everything from hair color to furniture placement has gotten a beefy upgrade. Publisher Electronic Arts promises faster load times and even more customization. Available Tuesday for Windows and Mac computers.

'Burn Notice' :
Hey, it's a summer show with a script. Huzzah! Jeffrey Donovan (below) returns as a spy in sunny exile. It's perfect low-stress summer viewing. And it's got a great cast, with Gabrielle Anwar as a trigger-happy femme fatale and Bruce Campbell as a gigolo/sidekick. Airs 10 p.m. Thursday on USA.
THEATER
'The Soul Collector':
These trash collectors bring more than just their work home with them in this whimsical new play. Turns out, some of the treasures they find in the garbage have a soul. So does this drama, making its world premiere at Everyman Theatre. Runs through June 21.

With a little help from the likes of T-Bone Burnett and Emmylou Harris, the veteran British singer channels his inner-American in this new bluesy, countrified album. What started as a Danish opera has ended up as a soothing set of twangy songs. In stores Tuesday.

'Land of the Lost':
Other remakes like Star Trek may be slicker and more serious than the original. But happily, the makers of the film version of this classic Saturday morning series haven't skimped on the cheese factor. The ever-goofy Will Ferrell stars, and the computer graphics are kept in check. In theaters Friday.
