'Clean House' To Air Mayhem, Foolishness Found In Baltimore

May 26, 2009|By Meredith Cohn

They came, they cleared, they organized. Now see the results of the makeover at one messy Sparrows Point house by the experts at the Style Network's Clean House.

The show, which was filmed here in February, airs 10 p.m. Wednesday.

"Jim and Jiffy have been married for six months, but Jiffy will not move in until Jim and his kids clean up their act," begin the show's pitch. "Is there any way Niecy & Co. can help these lovebirds build a nest together at last?"

Jim Buechler and Jennifer "Jiffy" Boehles said they were pleased with much of the work done to their home by hostess Niecy Nash and her 50-person crew earlier this year - although they complained about damage done to areas of not shown on camera. Some items, such as their clothes, were stashed places during the overhaul and couldn't be located. In some places, paint jobs ended before the walls did. A spokesman for the show said they are still working with the couple on the issues.

Buechler also complained that producers did not tell the family that they would be part of a series billed as "The Search for the Messiest Home in the Country." They were not that messy, they said.
