The B&O Railroad Museum presents "A Visit From Isaac Ridgeway Trimble," 1 p.m. Saturday at 2711 Maryland Ave., Ellicott City. Alan Walden, journalist and broadcaster, portrays Gen. Isaac Ridgeway Trimble, who was born in Virginia, lived in Maryland and joined the Confederate Army. Program is about 45 minutes, followed by a question-and-answer session. Football and cheerleading
The Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks is accepting registrations for Elkridge Hurricanes flag and tackle football and cheerleading.
Flag football, for ages 5-6, is $85; tackle football, for ages 7-14, is $160; cheerleading, fir ages 5-14, is $125. Practice begins in August at Elkridge Landing Middle School, 7085 Montgomery Road.
Tackle football participants are placed on teams based on age and weight.

Hip-hop classes
The Marriotts Ridge High School Dance Program is holding master hip-hop classes, featuring Honey Rockwell, June 5 at the school, 12100 Woodford Drive, Marriottsville. Coaches sought : The Ellicott City Patriots Youth Football and Cheer Program, for youngsters ages 5-14, is seeking volunteer coaches for the 2009 fall season. Cheer coaches are also needed, including head coaches, assistant coaches, stunt coaches, dance coaches, cheer gymnastic coaches, fitness trainers and competition coaches.
