Central Baltimore
Body identified : The man whose body was recovered from the Inner Harbor near the Maryland Science Center about 6 a.m. Tuesday has been identified as Lawrence Brown, 50, of the 700 block of E. Fort Ave. in the Riverside neighborhood of South Baltimore. Police said the body bore no signs of foul play and that the cause of death is pending an autopsy by the state's medical examiner's office. Since January, the bodies of five men have been pulled from the Inner Harbor, none of whom was a victim of homicide, police said.
Northeastern Baltimore
Shooting: A man, 23, was reported in critical but stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was shot about 5 p.m. Wednesday by an unknown assailant in the 4900 block of Gilray Drive. Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman, said the man was conscious when found by police responding to a report of a shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the district's detective unit at 410-396-2444.
Eastern Baltimore
Theft: Several music CDs of unknown value were stolen Tuesday from a 1999 Chrysler parked in the 1000 block of McDonogh St. by someone who entered after shattering a passenger window.
Baltimore Co. -- Essex
Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 400 block of S. Taylor Ave. through a rear window Tuesday and stole jewelry, a Wii system and other video games and their accessories, all valued at $2,450.
Baltimore Co. -- Franklin
Robbery: A boy, 16, was walking home from school about 3:30 p.m. Monday and was at Lakeside Boulevard and Common Brook Road when he was assaulted by three other teenage boys who robbed him of $2. The boy did not report the robbery until Tuesday and no arrests had been made.
Baltimore Co. -- Woodlawn
Robbery: A man, 18, was standing at a bus stop at Liberty Road and Abbie Place about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday when two men, one armed with a chrome-plated small-caliber revolver and the other a knife, robbed him of more than $200.
