Beverages of any kind (including alcohol, beer, wine, soft drinks, water or other beverages) cannot be taken into the Infield (including the Top of the Stretch) on Preakness Day. Food and picnic lunches are OK to bring into Pimlico's infield on Preakness Day. You may carry food items and picnic lunches in coolers and backpacks - no thermoses, or bulk or oversized carrying devices are allowed. Coolers larger than 28" long by 15" wide by 17" high will be prohibited in the infield.
Cooler restrictions
* Grandstand and Clubhouse: Coolers, backpacks and thermoses will not be permitted. You must bring your nonalcoholic beverages (Grandstand and Clubhouse only) and food items in clear, plastic bags or clear, see-through plastic containers, not larger than 18" by 18."
* Infield: Coolers and backpacks will be permitted - no thermoses, or bulk or oversized carrying devices allowed. Coolers larger than 28" long by 15" wide by 17" high will be prohibited.
* Top of the Stretch (in the Infield): Coolers and backpacks will be permitted. No thermoses. Coolers larger than 12" by 12" will be prohibited. No outside beverages.
* Turfside Terrace and Clubhouse turn reserved: Coolers, backpacks and thermoses will not be permitted. No outside food or beverage items allowed.
Items permitted in infield and Top of the Stretch
* Beach blankets (Infield only) and suntan lotion
* Cellular phones, cameras (up to 35mm), camcorders and binoculars
* Lightweight aluminum or plastic lawn or umbrella chairs (Infield only)
Items that may not be brought into infield and Top of the Stretch
* Beverages of any kind (including alcohol, beer, wine, soft drinks, water or other beverages)
Items permitted in Grandstand and Clubhouse
* Nonalcoholic beverages individually carried in plastic containers or regular-sized cans.
* Food and picnic lunches.
* Nonalcoholic beverages, food items and picnic lunches must be brought in clear, plastic bags or clear, see-through plastic containers, no larger than 18" by 18."
* Beach blankets and suntan lotion.
