A federal witness was fatally shot less than a week later.
Translated in federal court, Jones had said: "If you don't do it, tell Moo to get them two [expletive] Little Dinkles and Woo Woo, you know what I'm saying? That [expletive] John gotta get whacked tonight."
That's a step above what Luse told the informant: "I o-gay own-day airs-stay, ell-tay ig-Pay, 'at-flay ine-lay [tell Pig, 'flat-line'] you heard me. By the time I'm gettin' to walkin' up the steps, I hear bom, bom, bom" [a reference to gunfire]."
Last week, federal prosecutors announced indictments against Kevin "Luse" Dorsey and Rodney "Pig" Lockett, charging them in connection with the Dec. 28 killing of Coby, 28, and the shooting of a woman who also was inside the house on Chauncey Avenue. Coby was bound at the feet and hands with plastic flex cuffs before being killed.
