Cuban apologizes to Martin's mother

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban apologized to the mother of Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin. Cuban made a crack after a Mavs loss in Dallas on Saturday in their NBA playoff series. According to Cuban, a fan called the Nuggets "thugs." Cuban looked at Martin's mother, Lydia Moore of Dallas, and said, "That includes your son." Martin's agent told the Denver Post that Cuban told Martin's mother that her son is a "punk." In a Tuesday post on Cuban's blog titled "An Apology to Kenyon Martin's Mom," Cuban wrote that he shouldn't have said anything. He added that the matter had gotten out of hand.

League considers adding second overseas game in '10

The NFL is considering adding a second regular-season game overseas for the 2010 season. Commissioner Roger Goodell said the success of the games at London's Wembley Stadium the past two seasons has fueled the discussions. Goodell said the second game would be held on a different weekend and could be in London or another location in the United Kingdom. The first two NFL regular-season games in London produced sellout crowds. Fans have also gobbled up tickets quickly for this season's New England Patriots-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game in London on Oct. 25.
