Notre Dame 19, Vanderbilt 13: : Gina Scioscia had three goals and three assists to power the sixth-seeded Fighting Irish (16-4) past the visiting Commodores (10-7). Notre Dame travels to North Carolina on Saturday.

Syracuse 20, Boston University 10: : Katie Rowan scored 11 points (five goals, six assists) to lead the host Orange (14-4) past the Terriers (15-4). Rowan's 38 career points in NCAA tournament play are a school record. The seventh-seeded Orange faces Maryland on Saturday.

Princeton 15, Georgetown 9: : Kristin Schwab and Kristin Morrison each had five points to lead the eighth-seeded Tigers (14-3) past the visiting Hoyas (13-6).

FOR THE RECORD - University of Virginia lacrosse player Steele Stanwick's high school was incorrectly identified in an article in Monday's editions. He went to Loyola. The Baltimore Sun regrets the error.
