On May 1, 2009 OFFUTT LEE RUSH of Maple Grove, MN, formerly of Baltimore, MD, died peacefully after a long battle with complications from Diabetes. "Lee" epitomized the greatest generation in the way he lived his life and served his country in WWII as a crew member on a B-25. He worked hard in the carpet and tile business to provide a good life for his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife Maurine, his parents, his sister Isabelle and his brother Jim. He is survived by his wife of 18 years Marguerite (Fortier), his daughter Sheryl and son-in-law Mike Bassett of Eden Prairie, MN, his sister Louisa Rush of Timonium, MD, six stepchildren, 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His funeral was held in Robbinsdale, MN on May 5th with burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Diabetes Association or the Minnesota Medical Foundation for Diabetes Research at the University of MN.
