Tai Sophia herb walk
Tai Sophia Institute in North Laurel will offer an open house for students interested in any of the institute's programs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Information will be presented on graduate degree programs in acupuncture, herbal medicine and applied healing arts.
Information on the herbal medicine program will be presented at the herb walk, where participants can join in a group discussion with members of the faculty.
Those who attend will have an opportunity to participate in panel discussions with faculty, students and alumni, and tour the institute's library, wellness clinic and campus.

Healthy food : County residents can learn about eating for good health during Good Food for Good Health Weekends at local supermarkets. Health educators will answer questions about nutrition and distribute free low-fat recipes and other information. The program is sponsored by the Anne Arundel County Health Department's Learn to Live program and will be available at:

Men's support group : Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis is offering a support group for men affected by prostate cancer. Man to Man, founded in partnership with the American Cancer Society, meets 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month in the Rebecca M. Clatanoff Pavilion.
The group offers members a chance to hear from physicians about the disease and its treatment and learn about new research and treatment options. Men with recently diagnosed prostate cancer, cancer survivors interested in helping others, and patients with prostate disease are welcome.
