Man shot in Waverly

A 48-year-old man was found fatally shot in the backyard of his Waverly home Tuesday, city police said. At 12:23 a.m., police officers received a call about a shooting in the 600 block of Parkwyrth Ave. They found the man on the ground, suffering from several gunshot wounds, police said. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 12:45 a.m. Police did not release the victim's name.

Edgewood man killed

A 26-year-old Edgewood man was fatally shot early Tuesday. About 2 a.m., deputies were called to Perrywood Drive and Perrywood Court in Aberdeen to investigate a report of gunshots. Maryland State Police happened upon a car accident several miles away on U.S. 40 in Havre de Grace, and one of the passengers had a gunshot wound. The gunshot victim, Yamar Auntrez Martin of Wing Leaf Court in Edgewood, died at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 410-838-6600 or 1-866-7-LOCKUP.

Liberty Road rape

Police in Baltimore County were looking Tuesday for a man who raped and robbed a 17-year-old girl near Villa Nova Park in the Gwynn Oak area. The victim was standing on a sidewalk in the 7100 block of Liberty Road, near Sussex Road, about 10:45 p.m. April 25 when the man approached her from behind, police said. She was taken to Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where she was treated. Anyone with information is asked to call Baltimore County police at 410-307-2020.

Arundel robbery

A bank outside Arundel Mills mall was robbed at gunpoint Monday, police said. About 9:15 a.m., a man armed with a handgun entered the bank, ordered everyone to drop to the floor and then leaped over the counter, Anne Arundel County police said. The man grabbed cash from the tellers' drawers and ran out of the bank, police said.
