No. 3 Annapolis at No. 7 South River

WHEN: Monday, 6 p.m.

OUTLOOK: The Panthers and the Seahawks are embroiled in a four-way tie for first place in the county with No. 14 Broadneck and No. 11 Severna Park, so this game likely will drop one of them out of contention. Both teams feature balanced attacks and strong goalies, so it could come down to the wire. The Seahawks' Brooke Griffin's ability to control the draw could make the difference, but the goalies - the Panthers' Brittany Pastrana and the Seahawks' Kim Kolarik - might have the most to say about who wins.

No. 10 Severna Park at South River

WHEN: Friday, 6:45 p.m.

OUTLOOK: The visiting Falcons won their seventh straight county title with a 10-7 win over South River last season and will look to continue their mastery against their closest league rivalry. It won't come easy. The Seahawks (9-0 overall, 8-0 in the county going into last Friday night's game at Arundel) have a balanced attack led by senior Matt Gregoire. The Falcons (9-1, 7-0 prior to Friday's game against Meade) fell to neighborhood rival Severn, 8-7, on Wednesday. Senior attackman Sam Jones is the Falcons' catalyst.
