Auto racing: : Dario Franchitti won the Grand Prix of Long Beach (Calif.), beating runner-up Will Power, the pole-winner, by 3.318 seconds - half of the final straightaway. Franchitti earned his ninth IndyCar victory. Helio Castroneves, who got back in his Team Penske car after being acquitted of federal tax evasion charges, finished seventh.

NBA: : Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge was released from the hospital after being treated for a minor heart attack he suffered Thursday, the Boston Herald reported. He is not expected to attend Game 2 of the playoff series between the host Celtics and Chicago Bulls on Monday, the newspaper reported.

NFL: : The Philadelphia Eagles introduced new offensive lineman Jason Peters, the Pro Bowl left tackle who was acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Bills on Friday. After the trade, the Eagles and Peters, 27, reached terms on a four-year contract extension worth $53 million. Peters will earn $60 million over the next six years, with $25 million guaranteed.
