In celebration of Volunteer Appreciation Month, Neighbor Ride, a volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to decreasing isolation and improving the quality of life for older Howard County residents, will collaborate with the Volunteer Center Serving Howard County to promote volunteerism among people 60 and older.
Neighbor Ride will offer transportation for seniors interested in volunteering, as well as to medical and personal-care appointments, religious services, social outings, exercise and educational classes, shopping and other daily activities. Transportation is provided by volunteers who drive their own vehicles.
