Village Election, Earth Day Fair

The Harper's Choice Community Association village election and an Earth Day Fair will be held between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at Kahler Hall, 5440 Old Tucker Row, in the Harper's Choice Village Center.

Chesapeake Solar, the Howard County Climate Change Initiative, and Columbia Wildlife and Habitat Committee will offer information on how to live a greener life. Children and adults will have an opportunity to make pine cone bird feeders and toad abodes, and plant seeds.

Medicare workshop

The Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program of the Howard County Office on Aging will offer a workshop, "Medicare 102: Why Medicare Isn't Enough," at 7 p.m. April 29 at the Bain Center, 5470 Ruth Keeton Way.

Discussion will focus on the gaps in Medicare coverage and how to cover them.

Medigap plans and employer group coverage as well as Medicare health plan options will be discussed. There will be an opportunity for questions.

Kids' performances

Rainbow Theatre at Slayton House will continue its series of children's performances with Fun with Pam and Rascal, presented by Pam Kindersinger, at 10 a.m. Friday. The performance includes songs, puppetry, storytelling and humor.

Summer camp : Slayton House Camp of the Arts is accepting registration for its summer camps. Camp dates are June 22 to July 10, July 13 to July 31 and Aug. 3 to Aug. 14.
