Police reports in Baltimore city and county:

Western Baltimore

Arrest Dontae Preston, 30, of the 1800 block of Division St. was arrested Monday in the 3200 block of Elmley Ave. on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. Preston is charged in the fatal shooting of Keon Barnes, 35, of the 3000 block of Edmondson Ave. Barnes was shot March 14 in the 1900 block of N. Pulaski St. and died the next day at a hospital. Preston was being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Central Baltimore

Assaults Two women were cut about 1 a.m. Monday, one in the upper body, during an incident at Gay and Lombard streets and were taken to a hospital for treatment. Further details were not available.

Theft A 2005 Nissan Altima was parked in the 1000 block of Guilford Ave. between Saturday night and early Sunday when someone entered the vehicle after shattering a passenger-side window and stole a computer device valued at $280.

Stolen vehicle A 2003 Mitsubishi with Maryland tags SMT0178 was stolen Monday from the 600 block of N. Calvert St.

Southeastern Baltimore

Stolen vehicle A blue 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis with tags ZDY 714 was stolen Sunday in the 1400 block of Gusryan St.

Theft A navigational system, an 18-volt drill and several saw blades, all valued at $1,600, were stolen Friday night or early Saturday from a 2003 Toyota parked in the 3200 block of Leverton Ave. by someone who entered the vehicle by shattering a window.
