An announced 20,732 - the second-largest crowd to watch a regular-season lacrosse-only event in NCAA history - who endured rain and wind were rewarded with bright sunshine and captivating games at the inaugural Smartlink Day of Rivals doubleheader Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium. In the opener, No. 12 Navy (9-3) overcame the absence of leading scorer Tim Paul with a defensive effort that produced an 8-4 victory over Army (5-7). Then No. 11 Johns Hopkins (5-4) edged No. 15 Maryland (6-5), 10-9, in a game that featured seven ties and two lead changes. (Articles, PG 8)
