Police reports in Baltimore city and county:

Western Baltimore

Shooting A man, 27, was walking in the 1100 block of Whitelock St. with several other men about 3 a.m. Wednesday when an argument broke out between two of the men. Police said one man attempted to break up the argument when someone fired a shot that struck him in the upper right arm. He was driven by a friend to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was treated and was expected to survive. No arrest had been made. Anyone with information is urged to call the district's detective unit at 410-396-2477.

Central Baltimore

Theft A 2008 Honda was parked in the 500 block of St. Paul St. about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when someone entered the vehicle after breaking a side window and stole a navigational system, an iPod charger, a cell phone charger and change. Total value of the property was $280.

Eastern Baltimore

Cutting/arrest A girl and a boy, 12, were arguing in a house in the 2000 block of E. Chase St. on Tuesday night when the girl stabbed the boy with an unknown sharp weapon. The girl was arrested at the scene and charged as a juvenile with aggravated assault and was being held at the city's Juvenile Detention Center on North Gay Street. The boy was not seriously injured.

Burglary Police were in a covert position in the 1600 block of E. Madison St. about 7:30 p.m. Monday when they observed a man attempting to break into a storage locker in an apartment building and arrested him. Charged with attempted burglary and possession of four small plastic bags of marijuana was Bren Carter Jr., of the 3500 block of Erdman Ave.

Northern Baltimore

Robbery A boy, 15, was walking in the 2200 block of St. Paul St. about 4 p.m. Tuesday when he was stopped by a man in his mid-20s who told him to "Kick it out!" The man then stole the boy's cell phone valued at $200 and fled. No weapon was displayed or implied.

Northwestern Baltimore

Burglary Someone attempted to enter a house in the 4400 block of Liberty Heights Ave. about 10 p.m. Tuesday through the front door but fled when the burglar alarm sounded. No arrest had been made.

Southwestern Baltimore

Burglary A laptop computer valued at $900 was stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 4100 block of Stokes Drive. Entry was through the front door.

Baltimore County - Franklin

Robbery Police were seeking three young men who assaulted a boy, 15, as he walked along a foot path behind the first block of Brookebury Drive about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and robbed him of $10 and a cell phone.

Stolen vehicle A tan 2002 Buick Century with tags 3DZW921 was stolen Tuesday in the 200 block of Main St. in Reisterstown.
